MINI is a long-standing British icon and it continues to make high quality cars that are unique and offer great rides and drives. Over the years we have seen some fantastic models come out of the MINI factories. Now we have great cars to consider for purchase though car finance.
The Basic model of the MINI Hatch, the One comes with petrol engines. The petrol model is the cheaper of the two options, but has a top speed of 121 mph and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 9.9 seconds. This comes from an engine that develops 102 bhp and produces 61.4 mpg.
The fastest edition of the Hatch is the John Cooper Works that has a 4-cylinder 2.0-litre engine. From that engine, it produces 231 bhp. With that power, the John Cooper Works Hatch has a top speed of 152 mph and a sprinting from 0-60 mph in 6.3 seconds. Although it may not be your priority if you want the fastest model, it does come with an impressive fuel economy of 44.8 mpg. Not bad, right?
Inside the MINI Hatch, you will find a well-built dashboard thanks to the metal trims and soft plastics all over the place. In previous MINIs, you had a large speedometer that was the centre piece of the interior. In the new Hatch, this has been replaced by the brand-new infotainment system. When it comes to passenger space, you get a healthy amount in the front for a variety of height sizes, however, in the rear you will struggle if you are tall. It has a very small boot capacity of 211 litres.
The Clubman is the largest MINI ever produced. This MINI is meant to be a challenger to the market favourites of the Volkswagen Golf, Ford Focus and the Vauxhall Astra.
When it comes to the base model, the Clubman offers a 1.5-litre engine, developing 136 bhp. From that power, the car can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 9.1 seconds. It has a top speed of 127 mph and a combined fuel economy of 55.4 mpg. Not bad for a base model. The fastest model gives you a 2.0-litre engine throwing out 192 bhp. It has a slight worse fuel economy at 44.8 mpg. It can sprint from 0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds and hits a top speed of 142 mph.
Inside the Clubman, you will find a large screen dominating the dashboard, which comes in either 6.5 inches or 8.8 inches. The rest of the dashboard is quintessentially MINI in design and comfort. Where space is concerned, you have plenty thanks to it being longer and larger than the Hatch. You have plenty space for four adults, but add a 5th and it could be a little tight. Boot space comes in at 36-litres, but drop those rear seats and you hit 1,250-litres.
This car was a surprise when it was first launched. MINI releasing a small SUV might seem like a strange decision considering their brand and history. However, the Countryman is available on car finance and you can get it right now if you fancy it.
Basic Countryman model enters with a 1.6-litre engine developing a rather good 98 bhp. It wasn’t quick off the line with a 0-60 mph in 11.9 seconds and it has a top speed of 109 mph. It also produces a combined fuel economy of 49.6 mpg. The fastest model has a 1.6-litre engine throwing out 218 bhp. This allows it to go from 0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds and tops out at 142 mph. It has a slightly fuel economy at 39.8 mpg, which is expected.
Climb inside the Countryman and you will find a spacious car that offers you a comfortable and yet lofty driving position. It offers decent space all round for both children and adults. When you open the boot, you will find 350-litres of capacity with the seats up, but when you fold them down, that goes up to 1,170-litres.
All of these MINIs are worse considering if you are looking to get a car on finance. Obviously it will depends on what you require, but with these cars, MINI is determines to cater for all of your needs.
